Joiner Systems™ Hatches, Scuttles and Manholes are constructed from steel or aluminum in various sizes and shapes tailored to meet specific applications. They are classified as follows:

• watertight (for installations under the main deck to meet specific pressure requirements)
• weather-tight (for deck installations for loadline positions 1 and 2)
• spray-tight

The closing mechanism consists of individual dogs, dropbolts or central wheel, and quick acting mechanism.

Hatches, scuttles and manholes are mechanically cleaned and shop prime painted or sandblasted and painted to specifications. The design and construction is approved by Transport Canada.
