These
dampers are suitable for flow modulation and effective isolation
when blades are closed. Opposed blade dampers offer the least disturbance
to flow patterns in ducts.
Each blade is carefully
fitted for precise operation in parallel or opposed motion and
thus creates highly controlled passages for gas.
The blades are designed
to adequately handle all loads for the specified upset conditions.
Special
non-binding external linkages are used and are fully adjustable.
The frame is made from a formed or fabricated channel, of material
suitable for the design and intended application.
A
maximum center span deflection is determined by our engineering department,
so as to ensure smooth and trouble free operation.
The
drive shafts are carried in practically maintenance free, sealed,
self aligning Joiner Systems™ "Freelub" bearings.
The shaft passage throught the damper frame is sealed by means
of a floating packing gland.
