Butterly Dampers

These are the most simple dampers, they are round or rectangular and most often match the size and shape of the duct opening.

A single shaft supports the blade whose degree of opening allows for the flow control and in its closed position provides effective shut off.

Depending on the seat design, these dampers can provide shut-off of up to 99.9%.

Butterflies are designed for high pressures and operating temperatures of -60°F to 2600°F.

Joiner Systems™ butterfly dampers are made of material suitable for the intended service conditions and can be equiped with refractory linings or other special features.
